BayCal Management Company, LLC is a family-owned investment firm chartered to invest the assets of the Hazel Family, its children and grandchildren. The Managing Director, Chuck Hazel is an early Silicon Valley Venture Capitalist. He has been an active venture capital investor since the early 1970's and has over 38 years of management, marketing, and technical experience in high technology companies. He was a co-founder and a managing partner of Bay Partners, a local venture capital firm founded in 1980.

With his retirement from Bay Partners in 1993, Chuck remains active in privately- held companies pursuing emerging, young companies  in the various communications, information, and internet-related technologies as a source of superior growth and excellent returns.
